Examples of measured safety behaviors and performance at various levels include:

Supervisors.

Supervisors are not capable of actually controlling the number of accidents in their work area. However, they do have the ability to control their safety management and leadership activities. Therefore, measurement at this level should include personal safety behaviors and activities such as: ·

o Making sure workers have safe materials, tools, equipment, machinery, etc. ·
o Ensuring a healthful psychosocial environment ·
o Following company safety rules ·
o Conducting safety inspections ·
o Enforcing safety rules ·
o Training safe work procedures ·
o Recognizing employees for safety ·
