Point #3 is "Make a Positive Glance Over Your Shoulder" when you enter traffic or change lanes.
Whenever you pull onto a freeway, away from a curb, or whenever changing lanes, you must physically turn your head and make a definite, positive glance over your shoulder-- left or right -- to make sure nothing is in your blind spot.
Your vehicle is equipped with mirrors that you should use constantly. But, mirrors don’t show the entire area around your vehicle. All vehicles have blind spots. Learn where these blind spots are on your own vehicle.
And, always use your turn signal to alert other drivers of your intentions. Remember, turn signals help others see you.
